Selene's down play here is so sad. She is one of my favorites villains, mostly becuse she has outlifed entire civilizations, and is one of the few mutants who has mastered both Imortality, Magic and Telepathy, not beacuse of her genetics or for being chossen by a mystical entity, but beacuse she had time to harness all of them. But is sad seeing her take a psionic blast from Emma, who is not even near her power in the Comics, being that Emma is a Alpha Level Telepath but Selene is a External (basically a mutant Goddess). I really hope they bring her character is the new Animated Series, and show her rising Necrosha and the Black Rome Empire.

I neither even have watched the anime nor this series but seeing a live action character looking and acting just like an actual anime character is enough to have me grow excited. With the success of this live action adaptation we may see more works like this with higher budget in future.
